In 2004, the President's DNA Initiative released A National Protocol for Sexual Assault Medical Forensic Examinations. These guidelines require training in forensic photography techniques for certification.
Imprimus Forensic Services can help your training program meet those guidelines. Services available run from classroom lecture to hands-on use of photo equipment - typically determined by your SANE training model. Our instructors bring years of law enforcement related photographic experience into the classroom. Going beyond the techniques used to capture appropriate photographs, we help your students understand their equipment and the procedures needed to allow evidence photographs into the courtroom.
Topics covered include:
If you have already completed a forensic nursing or SANE program and are interested in further enhancing your photography skills, consider our Basic Evidence Photography Workshop.
If you are an administrator of a SANE or other forensic nursing program, please call us for more information.
Students are required to have a camera and flash if the program is run as a hands-on unit of instruction.
