More than 110 years ago Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, recognized through his fictional character Sherlock Holmes, the important role that footwear and tire track evidence plays in a criminal investigation. Today, however, the value of this evidence is frequently overlooked by investigators and crime scene technicians.
This three day workshop is an intensive hands-on program that will teach the student proper preservation, documentation and collection techniques. Students complete an array of practical documentation and recovery exercises that include photography, casting and the use of electro-static lifting devices. The student will also learn methods of applying footwear and tire track evidence to an investigation.

Attendees will need to bring a camera (film or digital), tripod and off-camera flash.
