3 Day Workshop
This is an intermediate level workshop designed to increase the effectiveness of the crime scene examiner in locating, documenting and recovering latent print evidence. Topics addressed include the history and physiology of fingerprints, scene examination techniques and documentation and recovery procedures.
The student will work with a variety of processing methods to develop their skills in recovering prints from run of the mill as well as unusual surfaces. Photography exercises provide the student with an excellent opportunity to sharpen their photographic skills. As with all of our programs that utilize photography, student's photos are printed and returned to them during the class. Instructors review the photos with the students and where necessary, offer suggestions for improvement. The photo exercises include general scene photography, close-up and macro photography and time exposure photography of fluorescent prints.
Attendees will need to bring a camera, tripod and off-camera flash.
